Privacy Policy for Word It!
Last updated: 8 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the mobile game Word It! ("the App") collects, why it is collected, and who it is shared with. By installing and using the App you agree to the practices described here.
The App is operated by an individual developer based in Turkey ("we", "us"). Contact details are at the end of this document.
Information we collect
The App does not ask you to create an account and does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number or postal address. We do not collect contacts, photos, calendar entries, or GPS location.
The App does automatically collect the following technical information, through the third-party services listed in the next section:
- Advertising ID — the resettable Google Advertising ID (AAID) assigned to your device by Android.
- Device identifiers and device information — such as device model, operating system version, language and country, and a randomly generated installation identifier.
- App activity — how you use the App: sessions, levels started and completed, in-game progress events, and which screens you open.
- Crash logs and performance data — stack traces when the App crashes, load times, frame rates and similar diagnostics.
- Approximate location derived from IP address — advertising and analytics providers may infer your country or region from your IP address. The App itself does not request or access device location permissions.
Third-party services
The App integrates the following third-party software development kits (SDKs). Each of these providers collects and processes data under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read.
| Service | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Displaying advertisements in the App and measuring advertising performance | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring) | Usage analytics, crash reporting and performance diagnostics | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Meta (Facebook) SDK | Measuring the results of our advertising campaigns and analysing app usage | facebook.com/privacy/policy |
| GameAnalytics | Game analytics: player progression, retention and gameplay events | gameanalytics.com/privacy |
How we use the information
- To show advertisements, which is how the App is funded, and to measure how those advertisements perform.
- To understand how players use the App so we can improve the game, balance difficulty and decide which features to build.
- To detect, diagnose and fix crashes and performance problems.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build profiles for purposes unrelated to the App.
Advertising
Advertisements shown in the App may be personalised based on your Advertising ID. You can limit this at any time from your device settings: open Settings → Google → Ads (the exact path varies by manufacturer) and choose to delete or reset your Advertising ID, or to opt out of ad personalisation. Doing so does not remove advertising from the App, but the ads you see will be less relevant to you.
Data retention
Analytics and advertising data is retained by the third-party providers listed above in accordance with their own retention schedules. We do not operate our own servers and do not keep a separate copy of your data.
Your rights and data deletion
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information associated with you.
Because the App does not use accounts, the simplest way to stop all further data collection is to uninstall the App from your device. If you would like us to request deletion of data already collected, email us at the address below and include your Advertising ID so that the relevant records can be identified. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us at the address below and we will take steps to have it deleted.
Players aged 13 to 17 may use the App. Where required by law, advertising shown to users under the age of consent in their jurisdiction is limited to non-personalised advertising.
International transfers
The third-party providers named above may process and store data on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Those providers rely on their own legal transfer mechanisms for these transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be noted in the App's store listing. Continuing to use the App after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
